Working together to improve our website

When you told us how we could improve our website so that it works better for you, we listened. We’ve made real changes that have been shaped by your feedback to build a website that works for everyone.

More language options across the site

You shared that having more language options available would make it easier for people who speak English as a second language to access information.

What’s changed

With your input, Somali, Romanian, and Urdu are now available as translation options on every page of the website.

Why this matters

These are some of the key languages used by our communities. By adding them, we’re ensuring that as many residents as possible can access the information they need, in a format they can understand.

Easy to find translation options

You let us know that the translation menu could be better highlighted.

We’ve added country flags to the translation drop-down menu to make the different options more visible.

Why this matters

You can now find and change languages more quickly by selecting the flag you need.

Simpler to access policy documents

You shared that being able to view a policy before downloading it would allow you to make sure you've found the right document.

What’s changed

You can now view documents in your web browser without having to download them.

Why this matters

It’s now quicker and easier to find the document you need, without having to download multiple files.

Improvements shaped with you, for you

Our website has been designed in partnership with residents since the beginning. During the initial build, we held workshops to understand what works best for you and how the site can support your needs.

The improvements above are a result of this ongoing collaborative approach and are based on feedback gathered during a recent workshop.

We’re committed to continuing to work with you to make further improvements. While we may not be able to implement all your suggestions, due to regulatory or technical limitations, we want you to know we’re listening and making changes wherever we can.
